Let's party
on 2016-04-11 in Czechia, Slovakia
The first couple of days went by without a hitch - as expected. Some minor changes to our luggage and most importantly setting the bikes up for the weight. Both Africa Twins were adjusted manually to the hardest setting.
Cite Denis: I know Fabi, the BMW can be set by the push of a button....
With every kilometer southeast the countryside became greener and it was clear, spring was ahead of us!
We headed to our first couple of POIs in Slovakia. The Nationalpark "High Tatras" was a perfect beginning to enjoy the nature and the upcoming blossom of the trees. The streets were partly still wet and a bit dirty, which led to slower speeds and more time to relish the beautiful scenery. The second point was an old well preserved wooden church. It was a bit unspactacular until a local came by and opened the church up for us. We got a short private tour from him and so it was more than worth visiting in the end.
After the church it was time to set of to Kosice, because we had a good reason to party through the night. Bastis birthday was the next day and we wanted to celebrate his 33rd properly.
A place to sleep was found quickly and since Basti had already looked up a bar our destination for the night was set. After a good meal everyone tried hard to fight of the fatigue from the day on the road. In the end it was a great party with lots of fun and good music up to the sunrise.
In the morning it got a bit more emotional, because it was time for Fredi to return home and say "Good Bye" to his kids. From now on we were five.
